Chess
I've been playing chess since I was a kid and its my favourite game, so it only made sense that making a chess game would be my very first project!. It is a two player hot seat chess game. I programmed in all the rules, including en passant. Its begginer level code but I think this was an excellent starting project that really taught me how to think like a programmer.
Sudoku
This was a cool project because I made up my own algorithm to generate a completed Sudoku puzzle.
Toronto Landtrust Bot
This is a cool project. I'm quite proud of it. It's actually being used everyday. Finding relevant entries on Toronto's Development Application List is very time consuming for the employees of the Toronto Landtrust. This bot automates that task.
Buy & Sell Kings Website
I created this website for my old company. I used bootstrap and Middleman static site generator to create it.
Nathan's App
A react native app for my son. It has a counting game, our family photos and videos, and a selection of cool videos for him to watch. It uses youtube videos, but prevents him from navigating through youtube's algorithm. I used bash scripting to compile all of the family photos and videos into arrays, and to take thumbnails of the videos, and other tasks that would have taken a lot of work.
Javascript
I love Javascript. I use it everyday and I am very comfortable with it.
React / React-Native
I have been using React as my main JS framework and I have built a couple of decently sized apps with Native.
Redux
I have some experience with Redux and have used it in a project.
Git
I have experience working with others on Github and Gitlab.
AWS
AWS is my go to when I need to host a server.
Linux
I am proficient with linux and scripting.
